Description:

The FOCUS-Africa app is a “multi-year drought prediction tool”: SADC water managers, insurers and agribusinesses gain actionable, region-specific climate intelligence—turning 1- to 5-year lead times into proactive reservoir, planting and premium decisions rather than emergency response.

Provides 1- to 5-year outlooks of rainfall, temperature & SPI indicators so water utilities, ag-insurers and energy planners in SADC can take earlier, evidence-based investment decisions instead of reacting to crises which is aligned with the HPC trends of Seasonal-to-Decadal Climate-Impact Services and Open-Science & FAIR-Data Dashboards.
