Would you like to have a booth at 4YFN 2024 startups Fair?

Once again, Barcelona and Catalonia will become the global technological epicentre during the MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS / 4YFN 2024, a congress that will open its doors at Fira de Barcelona from February 26th to 29th 2024.

The Barcelona Supercomputing Center and the X4HPC Network for HPC in Catalonia offer their spinoffs the opportunity to be part of their startup corner at 4YFN in Hall 8 (with space for 10 spinoffs). Seize this unique opportunity to boost your visibility, connect with influential entrepreneurs and investors, and be part of the High Performance Computing (HPC) ecosystem in Catalonia!

The advantages for exhibiting your startup at 4YFN are:

•  Visibility in the Startup Catalog listing shared with the 4YFN investor community.

•  Opportunity to be selected for a pitch in front of investors for the Startup Pitch Battle (for selected programs).

•  Access to speed dating and networking events based on availability (some are open to all, others are by invitation).

•  2 free Exhibition Passes for MWC and 4YFN 2024 (per spinoff)

The participation cost of the booth is 430 € (special price) per spinoff, and the 10 spinoffs will be selected by order of entry.

Registrations are open until November 30th at 2:00 PM.

The X4HPC Network offers strategic IP focused studies developed by expert suppliers in the field for all members of the network (such as for example expert assessment in open-source software protection and open hardware protection).

The call for applications is open from September 26th to December 11th 2023 (both included).

Open call for Valorisation Studies 2023

The X4HPC Network has opened a new call for Valorisation studies 2023 developed by expert suppliers in the field, for all members of the network. The call offers optional support at no cost to research groups aiming to transfer their technologies or launch their spinoffs and can cover studies such as: market studies, industrialisation plans, legal assessment, mentoring, business plans or public financing plans.

The application for the call is open from June 28th to September 10th 2023 (both included).

Open call for new members that want to join the Catalan HPC Reference Network (X4HPC)

The X4HPC R&D&I Network for Supercomputing in Catalonia opens a call for groups that want to become members of this AGAUR financed Network.

The call is open to research groups that work with HPC tools and from the 8 entities that are already part of the X4HPC Network -List: Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), Universitat de Barcelona (UB), Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Vall Hebron Institut de Recerca (VHIR), Institut de Recerca Biomèdica de Barcelona (IRB), Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute (IJC), Centro Nacional de Microelectrónica (CNM-CSIC), International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE).

By becoming a member of the X4HPC, groups can access to:

• Expert advice in all the different phases of reaching the market (such as open source and open hardware protection assessment, patentability studies, market studies, regulatory roadmaps, business plans, mentorships, for example)

• Participation in HPC-focused acceleration / entrepreneurship programs (with access to mentors, spinoffs, deep tech entrepreneurs, venture builders, accelerators and deeptech investors)

• Promotion and visibility of HPC projects and tools through participation in relevant forums and events.

• A network of experts and leading professionals in the field of HPC.

• Collaboration opportunities with other members in research, development and technological transfer of HPC technologies.

• Participation in workshops, seminars and conferences and access to knowledge, experiences and updates on the latest trends in the HPC field.

To apply for X4HPC membership, interested groups are invited to fill out the registration form and send it to x4hpc@bsc.es

The application deadline is September 6th. The candidacy will be evaluated at the next X4HPC General Assembly, scheduled for September 19th.
