Wearable air pollution filter device & air quality monitoring system

Institution:

Institution

Research Group:

Knowledge Integration / Air Quality Services

Researcher/s:

Eulàlia Baulenas, Alvaro Criado

Description:

AirQuads is designed as a “personal exposure & city-scale insight” platform: citizens get cleaner air through an active air quality filtration device while operators, municipalities and urban planners gain a real-time, hyper-local pollution dataset that sharpens health-risk analytics and policy decisions.

Each device streams geotagged pollutant data (NO₂, PM, etc.) that can densify sparse monitoring networks and feed machine-learning models that predict street-level exposure—vital for health-agencies, insurers and smart-city planners which is aligned with the HPC trend of AI/ML-driven knowledge extraction & decision support.

Aplication areas:

Environmental health, Logistics, Tourism, Urban planning

Target market:

Public Health; Logistics; Insurers; Risk management service providers

Protection:

Protection in process
