PhysiCell-X adds MPI domain-decomposition to the open-source agent-based simulator PhysiCell and PhysiBoSS, letting tissue-scale cancer or infection models spill across many HPC nodes. That delivers the speed and scale required for patient-specific “digital-twin” therapy treatment simulations.

PhysiCell-X is a high-potential engine for patient-specific digital-twin modelling. By adding distributed CPU kernels, it could become an indispensable decision-support layer for adaptive oncology and complex-tissue pharmacology.
