Building societal resilience to climate change requires informed decision-making across a range of time scales, from shorter-term tactical actions to longer-term strategic planning. This presentation will showcase two applications – from the viticulture and humanitarian sectors – to illustrate the potential of climate predictions to support decisions at different yet connected time scales. These include operational decisions in crop management (e.g., frost protection) as well as anticipatory action for food security.
