The X4HPC R+D+I Network is a network coordinated by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS).
Formed by the most representative scientific institutions and research centers in Catalonia in the field of High-Performance Computing (HPC) and its different scientific applications in a myriad of relevant fields. The X4HPC Network’s mission is to accelerate the valorization and technology transfer of scientific projects that use Supercomputing tools, supporting disruptive technologies that generate a positive social and economic impact and fostering entrepreneurship and the creation of Spinoffs. As well as promoting the interaction between research and Industry (through open innovation initiatives). With the vision of turning the X4HPC into an innovation pool in HPC technologies at an international level.
This Network is currently composed of more than 400 researchers from 41 research groups and 8 different institutions (UB, UAB, VHIR, IRB, IJC, CNM-CSIC and CIMNE).

The GiD Simulation Cloud Platform is a platform integrating all the needed tools for simulations in a cloud-based architecture, based on the universal pre and post-processor for numerical simulations GiD (www.gidsimulation.com). The platform integrates solutions for all the workflow involved in a simulation: definition of geometry, mesh generation, assignment of properties, results analysis and advanced visualization techniques, all of them integrated in a cloud environment, and allowing to be used from browser and light devices (tablets and smart phones).
The nature of the platform allows to integrate any kind of data to the simulation (such as sensors data, etc…), making it a great solution to deal with Digital Twins or AI systems working with simulation data.
