Digital twins simulate patient physiology, improving personalized treatments and drug testing. Decentralized clinical trials and virtual care platforms are streamlining trial efficiency and patient recruitment. However, these transformations face challenges such as the analysis of large healthcare data sets and regulations around AI implementation, particularly related to data privacy.

In particular, generative AI startups have emerged as a promising investment opportunity, attracting significant funding in recent years. This session will present a successful case in digital health: OneCareAI, a software developed by a spinoff of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. OneCareAI is an AI app for continuous and non-invasive stroke risk monitoring. This innovative solution, based on edge-cloud computing, AI, and wearable devices, is set to revolutionize the early detection of cardiac anomalies.
