Under the title “Navigating health transformation: real-world examples in the digital era“, the panel aims to spotlight how data, digital technologies, and AI are revolutionizing healthcare. From your own perspective, you are expected to showcase real-world examples of improved patient outcomes (Lara Pijuan), enhanced health management (Richard Samuel), and breakthroughs in R&D, drug discovery and personalized medicine (Alba Jené). Here you are some key topics that we propose to cover as an example, without getting too bogged down in technical details:
- Overcoming barriers to digital adoption in healthcare: leading to a debate on the challenges faced in adopting digital technologies, and how to overcome them from different perspectives: users (HCPs & patients) and the system itself.
- Data-driven decision making in healthcare: exploring the role of data in healthcare decision making, and the opportunities it presents for improving the sustainability of the system.
- The role of digital technologies in patient engagement: generating discussions on how digital technologies are being used to: engage patients in their own health care and treatment, improve health outcomes, and interact with HCPs and the system.
- Exploring the confluence of AI and personalized medicine: a deep dive into AI’s pivotal role in advancing personalized medicine, its potential to uncover novel treatments for unmet medical needs, and the implications for the future landscape of research in health.
